Reinforcement plate set for 1.8L Miata differential housing (1994-2005).
Fits 1994-2005 Mazda Miata.
Factory Miata diffs have a design feature that causes them to break the housing in a rear collision. While this was OK for street driving, this poses a problem for high performance driving.
The diff housing can break during racing competition or other high stress driving - that will ruin your day...
By welding on these reinforcement brace plates, the factory relief cut in the diff housing is covered up and the housing will not break during racing use.
These plates are approved for use in NASA and SCCA Spec Miata racing.
They are also used in a number of drift Miatas with success.

Note that plates must be welded to the aluminum housing. Please defer this task to someone that is experienced with welding aluminum.
